Pecha Kucha Night, devised by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham (Klein Dytham architecture), was conceived in 2003 as a place for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public. Meet other local writers and offer one another feedback in a relaxed environment. Members bring at least one hard copy of their work in completed first drafts of stories (both fictional and non-fictional and everything in between). Someone in the group (not the writer) will read the story aloud. Stories should be no longer than about 2,000 words (about 8 pages) and can be as short as a fraction of a page as long as it feels complete. The workshop will meet for two hours, approximately.
